Augmentative Resources, Inc. produces two different types of communication books. One uses clear pocket pages. The other uses a fabric that the Hook side of Hook & Loop fastner will adhere. This Hook Fastener can be VELCROŽ Brand Hook or other brands. Communication books with Loop fabric pages are used by adhering pictures/words to the pages by placing the Hook side on the back of the visual. Individuals can communicate by pointing to, or exchanging the picture to obtain desired object/action. Books with clear pocket pages are used by slipping in page with pictures/words and communication is accomplished by pointing. Our visual aid display boards can also be used for communication/choice making and are made of Hook receptive Loop fabric, or magnetic, surface in various sizes. These boards are also often used for storytelling with related props attached to surface.
